Since our launch in 2018 CWICE team members have supported individuals in Canada, who are connected to many communities around the world. This year we compiled eight years of data, to understand the global reach of our work.
“It is one thing to speak about the diversity of our clients – their distinct identities and unique experiences – and another thing to have groundbreaking data to share. Our pride in this achievement is both about CWICE data integrity as well as our genuine interest in understanding our clients, their needs, and stories” – Danielle Ungara
Our client data reflects a remarkable diversity of the people we have served from June 2018- March 2026:
• 6,427 individuals
• Connected to 133 countries
• Across 6 continents
These connections validate the long-held notion CWICE provides service to a diverse and dynamic population. This data also highlights the vast experiences, stories, and circumstances our clients bring with them to Canada.
From Client Data to a World Map
Inside the CWICE office at Peel CAS, at 25 Capston in Mississauga, we have a beautiful world map on the wall (see image below). We highlight the countries our clients are connected to and the map serves to transform data into a tangible visual representation of our work. What might otherwise appear as numbers in a database becomes something much more meaningful: each magnet reflects a person and family, a history or story, and a unique set of circumstances. Together, the markings illustrate the many journeys that have brought people to Canada and connected them with CWICE.

Statistics help us understand the scale of our work, but they cannot tell the full story. Behind every number is an individual whose circumstances may be complex and whose needs may evolve over time. For some, finding reliable information can be an important first step in understanding their options. For others, navigating systems and processes may require specialized guidance, connections to resources, or assistance from professionals who understand the challenges they are facing.
CWICE services are designed to respond to these varied needs by helping individuals access relevant information, resources, and support. Depending on their circumstances, clients may connect with CWICE through different programs and services, making each experience unique.
Looking Ahead
The United Nations recognizes 193 Member States and two Observer States, representing 195 countries. The fact that CWICE has provided services to individuals with connections to 133 of these 195 countries is a remarkable achievement, reflecting both the extraordinary diversity of the populations we serve and the far-reaching impact of our work.
“From 133 countries to one shared community in Canada, the map on the CWICE wall captures something that statistics alone cannot: the diversity of the people behind our work. Every mark on the map represents a connection” – Ghezal Wallid
And, in CWICE, we believe every connection is an opportunity to provide information, build understanding, and help someone navigate the next step of their journey.
As CWICE looks to the future, the world map serves as both a reflection of the work accomplished over the past eight years and a reminder of the diverse communities that continue to shape it. The 6,427 individuals in our records are more than a measure of reach. They are part of the history of CWICE and of the communities we have had the privilege of serving. Each interaction has deepened our understanding of the realities people face and reinforced the importance of responsive, informed, and accessible services.
